In 2015, The Foundation selected Lungpuishong Duroi from Manipur under the MERIT program for a scholarship to a school of his choice within the State. The Foundation provides for his complete school fees, including: cost of tuition, extracurricular activities, school excursions, travel & all materials required in accordance with the school. He is currently studying in class 8, in St. Paul School, Churachandpur, Manipur.

Lungpuishong Duroi is from Khoirok village in Kangpokpi district, Manipur. During The Foundation's selection process, Duroi took a 9 hour journey, including a 3 hour walk down a hill to be present for all the phases. Duroi belongs to the Chiru Naga tribe, a small tribe with a total population of 10,000 across the world. Having grown up in a village with only one government school, with barely any teachers due to geographical disconnection, Durio aspires to become an IAS officer and improve the accessibility to education for the children of our village.
